EXPERIENCE:

8/03 to 6/12, Art Director, K2 Sports
Responsible for design and implementation of all brand elements and marketing for 2 international snowboard brands. Responsible for the majority of graphics for annual product line encompassing over 100 products. Corporate identity, product graphics, packaging, apparel design, magazine ads, POP, logo designs, illustration, website and catalogs. Graphics for variety of mediums (4/C sublimation, silkscreen, offset, digital). Also directing freelance photographers, designers and illustrators as well as overseas product sources. Collaborate with sales force to develop tradeshow booth design and graphics, as well as overall brand directions and initiatives. Write and manage annual marketing and communications plan and budget. Write, edit, and coordinate the design and production of all public information and promotional marketing materials, including print materials , website information, email announcements, and social media tools. Developed ongoing initiatives for building consumer loyalty and growing brands. 11/97 to 11/99 Art Director, O’BRIEN INTERNATIONAL

Graphic Design and Art Direction for world’s largest waterski and wakeboard manufacturer. Responsible for the majority of graphics for annual product line encompassing over 120 products. Corporate identity, product graphics, packaging, apparel design, magazine ads, POP, logo designs, illustration, website and catalogs. Graphics for variety of mediums (4/C sublimation, silkscreen, offset, digital). Also researching and directing freelance photographers, designers and illustrators as well as overseas product sources. Collaborate with sales teams on tradeshow booth design and graphics, as well as overall brand direction.

 

5/97 to 11/97: Art Director, KD WATERSPORTS

Responsible for brand image and graphic identity for 3 major watersports equipment brands (Kidder Skis, KD Skis, Blindside Wakeboards). Corporate identity, product graphics, packaging, illustration, magazine ads, POP, logo designs and catalogs. Also researching and directing freelance photographers, designers and illustrators. Negotiating advertising and sponsorship contracts and working with publications and sports bodies to create promotional opportunities.

 

10/95 to 5/97: Graphic Artist/Designer, ARTCRAFT.

Desktop publishing and design for commercial printing. Layout and production of corporate identity packages, posters, newsletters, brochures, ads, etc. Utilize both Macintosh and IBM PC with Pagemaker, Quark, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, to create high quality designs and layouts in spot and full color. Responsibilities also include design and production of marketing materials, customer service, and coordinating with design firms and agencies.

 

2/94-5/97: Freelance Graphic Designer, dba ANALOG DESIGN.

Design and layout for independent recording labels. Design and produce single and full color layouts for CDs, LPs, and cassette j-cards as well as ads and related promotional materials for internationally distributed bands. Clients include I.F.A., Moribund Records  and Ransom Note Recordings (Seattle), Necropolis Records (California), Red Stream (Pennsylvania), and Witchhammer Records (Connecticut).

 

4/90-10/95: Graphic Artist/Designer, ALTA PRESS.

Desktop publishing and design for full-service printing company. Design and layout of corporate identity packages, logos, newsletters, brochures, ads, etc. Utilize both Macintosh and IBM PC with Pagemaker, Quark, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, to create high quality designs and layouts in spot and full color. Responsibilities also included design and production of promotional materials, customer service, coordinating with outside vendors, billing, job tracking and day-to-day operation of design/composition department.

 

9/89-1/90: Graphic Artist/Designer, TEKIMAGE, Inc.

Duties included creating graphics and layouts for engineering and architectural presentations utilizing Pagemaker, Adobe Illustrator, pen-and-ink rendering, typesetting, paste-up, client billing and working directly with clients and vendors on design and reprographics projects.

 

1/88-7/89: Head Camera Operator, GRAPHICS SEATTLE, Inc.

Responsibilities included color separations, duotones, film and PMT halftones, film and PMT line shots, neg composites, single, multi, and four-color stripping, inventory and customer billing.

 

GENERAL:

I am skilled in all phases of marketing and design and learn quickly. I work well with others and need little supervision. My health is excellent.
